Project Manager
We are looking for a reliable Construction Manager to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities / Qualifications
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance
  • Review the work progress on a daily basis
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Organize and draft weekly updates
  • Assist in building construction budgets as requested
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Industry knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications (Microsoft Office suite and estimating software)
  • Experience with conceptual estimating, various design phase estimating
  • Excellent time and project management skills

In-House Architect
Looking to fill a current vacancy for an in-house architect position. Candidates are not required to have AIA Certification but it will be a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities / Qualifications
  • AutoCad proficiency
  • Familiarity with permit procurement process in the City of Chicago
  • Familiarity with building codes and City of Chicago zoning ordinances

Lead Estimator
Experienced estimator wanted to fill immediate opening as lead company estimator. The estimator is responsible for preparing budgets, estimates, and bid packages for residential and commercial construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities / Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand residential and commercial construction plans, general conditions, and specifications.
  • Identify conditions affecting work such as inspection and testing requirements, time limits and sequencing for work, insurance requirements, liquidated damages and other penalties, fee and permit responsibilities, shop drawings and submittal requirements, and any unusual conditions and/or requirements.
  • Communicate and solicit bids from subcontractors.
  • Ability to generate a tentative schedule and determine possible duration of project based on specification requirements, site conditions, time of year, lead times for approval of shop drawings, and fabrication and delivery of critical items.
  • Ability to takeoff accurate set of quantities to verify prices received from subcontractors.
  • Ability to quantify the materials, labor and equipment needed to complete the project.
  • Communicate effectively with Owners and/or design professionals and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with AIA documents.
  • Computer Literate.
  • 5+ years estimating in the residential and commercial construction field.
